The results of the Campaspe Shire Council election will be declared by the Victorian Electoral Commission at 3pm on Friday, 8 November 2024.
Council's CEO Pauline Gordon is eager to hear the results of the election and believes the members of the wider Campaspe community are also keen to discover who will be representing them for the upcoming four-year Council term.
"We are certain each councillor will bring not only a unique perspective regarding the needs and aspirations of the Shire but also the dedication required to help turn these into reality for the overall wellbeing and development of our community," Ms Gordon said.
Councillors will be formally sworn in on Tuesday, 12 November at the Council chambers in Echuca at 6pm. Following these formalities, the councillors will begin their induction and training program as they settle into their roles.
The following week the Councillors will elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor at a livestreamed Council meeting to be held on Tuesday, 19 November from 6pm at Echuca Civic Centre.
"We're excited to learn who our newly elected councillors will be, and we look forward to working together on a range of exciting projects and initiatives in the coming years," Ms Gordon added.
