Canada Relocates Embassy Staff's Children from Tel Aviv

Global Affairs Canada

Global Affairs Canada today issued the following statement:

"The health, safety and security of Canada's diplomatic staff and their families remain a priority for the Government of Canada"

"Due to the unpredictable security situation, Canada has made the decision to temporarily relocate dependent children of Canada-based employees from Tel Aviv. Dependent children and their legal guardians from the Embassy of Canada to Israel have arrived in a third country and are all safe and accounted for.

"We continue to closely monitor the situation, and the safety and security of Canadians remain our top priority. On August 3, 2024, we updated our travel advice for Canadians to ask Canadians to avoid all travel to Israel and continue to avoid all travel to the West Bank.

"We encourage all Canadians in Israel and the West Bank to check our Travel Advice and Advisories often and sign up with the Registration of Canadians Abroad service.
