Car Crash Into Creek Near Henty Claims Life

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state's south.

About 8.35am today, emergency services were called to creek on Four Corners Road, Rand, about 62 km south-west of Henty, to reports of a car in the water.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District responded, with assistance from the State Emergency Service, to find a car had gone through a guard rail and into a creek.

Officers located a man inside the vehicle, who had died at the scene. A crime scene was established and an investigation continues surrounding the circumstances.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
