Police are investigating after a car was driven into a home in Sydney’s west last night, NSW Police say.
About 10.30pm (18 March 2014) emergency services were called to the intersection of Woodburn and Tilba Streets, Berala, following reports two vehicles had collided, resulting in one of those vehicles crashing into a home.
Officers from Flemington Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.
Police have been told a Subaru Forrester whilst travelling east on Tilba Street and a Mitsubishi Magna whilst travelling west on Woodburn Street, had collided, causing the Mitsubishi Magna to crash into the home.
The driver of the Subaru Forrester, a 30-year-old man and sole occupant was uninjured.
The driver of the Mitsubishi Magna, a 69-year-old man was uninjured. The 58-year-old female passenger was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment to her shoulder.
Emergency services attended the scene to ensure the home did not suffer any significant structural damage.
The home sustained minor damage and no other persons were home or injured during the incident.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact police via Crime Stoppers.
