Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in Carani, south-west of Wongan Hills, yesterday, Wednesday 4 September 2024.
About 9:55am, a white Mercedes Benz van was located by a member of the public crashed on Calingiri-Wongan Hills Road. It is believed the van was being driven north on Calingiri-Wongan Hills Road when it left the road and struck a tree. The exact time of the crash is not known, however is believed to be shortly before the crash scene was located.
Tragically, the 45-year-old male driver died whilst being transported to hospital.
