Cardinia Shire Council's brand new Business Coaching Program provides one on one coaching and free advice from seven industry experts to support local businesses on their growth journey.
Earlier this year Council sought expressions of interest from business professionals and industry experts keen to participate in the pilot program.
From an extensive list of eligible local candidates, seven experienced business operators from various industries were selected to participate in the 2024– 25 program.
Cardinia Shire Council's General Manager Community and Planning Services, Debbie Tyson, says the Business Coaching Program is a fantastic addition to the suite of support services available for Cardinia business professionals.
"Council extends our congratulations to the coaches who have volunteered their time to take part in this initiative and is excited to work alongside this diverse group of local business leaders as part of the program," Ms Tyson said.
"Through the Business Coaching Program, business owners and operators can seek advice and support to grow the skills and capability of their workforce, and gain access to resources and training to meet their business needs," she says.
Cardinia's Business Coaching Program is designed to match businesses with the most suitable coach depending on their individual business needs. To get started, businesses are asked to request a coach via Council's Cardinia Business website.
Council then reviews and identifies coaches with the most relevant expertise and experience to suit each business' requirements. Alternatively, businesses can also request a coach to work with. Council will then facilitate an introduction between the coach and the business owner to determine the personalised support offering moving forward.
The program also offers two additional coaching sessions for ongoing support with the same, or a different, coach depending on business needs.
