A Toogoolawah not-for-profit service which supports Somerset locals living with a disability is set to open its doors to the public.
Carinity Our House will host an open day on July 31 to showcase its wide range of services.
Maggie Townsend from Carinity Our House said the service supports people with physical or intellectual disability in a catchment area that includes Toogoolawah, Esk, Kilcoy, Coominya and Fernvale.
"Carinity Our House is a home away from home for people living with disability, providing services to a highly vulnerable people and support for their carers," Maggie said.
"We support people with disabilities to develop skills, build community connections, live independently at home and enjoy respite when needed.
"Our services range from community nursing and management of complex care requirements, to general domestic support and assistance with daily personal care.
"We also offer social outings, on-site group activities, and short-term accommodation which provides respite for families and primary carers."
Guests at the Carinity Our House open day can participate in an informal meet and greet with carers and enjoy light refreshments catered by service users.
"Carinity Our House has been working hard to refresh our welcoming space and we would love to show you around," Maggie said.
"We have availability to support more people in the community and would love to chat about our services."
The Carinity Our House open day will be held at 27 Gardner Street, Toogoolawah on Wednesday July 31 from 1.30pm.
