Carr Confoy Park Netball Courts Resurfacing Complete

Dept of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications

Upgrades to netball courts at Carr Confoy Park in Goulburn have now been completed, thanks to investment from all levels of government and a local community sporting organisation.

The $1.19 million resurfacing was made possible with over $454,000 from the Albanese Government under the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program, $639,998 from the NSW Government, $85,603 from Goulburn Mulwaree Council, and $10,000 from the Goulburn and District Netball Association.

The Carr Confoy netball courts is the home of the Goulburn and District Netball Association, which holds regular sporting competitions at the venue.

Its nine failing asphalt netball courts have been replaced with a safe asphalt and acrylic surface, improving the quality of the region's netball facilities, and supporting increased female participation.

The netball courts are now up to competition standard, and will facilitate greater play for all ages and ability levels.

This project is one of many supported by the Albanese Government, as part of over $1.6 million in funding being delivered to Goulburn Mulwaree Council under Phase 4 of LRCI.
