CBS News: Man imprisoned 45 years for wife's killing is acquitted by Cleveland jury

After being released from prison and retried, Isaiah Andrews, an 83-year-old Cleveland man was found not guilty of murdering his wife by a jury this week. Andrews spent 45 years in prison before attorneys for the Ohio Innocence Project (OIP) at the University of Cincinnati College of Law were able to help free him after a re-examining of his case last year.

Andrews' retrial was granted when lawyers with the Ohio Innocence Project discovered that investigators of his wife's death had another suspect but didn't share that information with the original jury. "As soon as we saw the report, it was clear that Isaiah Andrews was innocent and somebody else committed the crime," Ohio Innocence Project attorney Brian Howe said, according to cleveland.com.
