CCTV Appeal After Assault In Sydney CBD

Police have released CCTV images in an appeal for information following a serious assault in Sydney's CDB over the weekend.

Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports a man was assaulted by another man whilst walking on the Druitt Bridge over Hunter Street, in the Sydney CBD around 12.30am on Sunday (10 November 2024).

Police were told an argument began between two groups of people when the man was approached from behind and punched in the head.

The 29-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital with facial injuries.

As inquiries continue, police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.

The man is described as being of Indian - Sub Continental appearance, approximately 25-30 years old, with black short hair, black beard and goatee. He was wearing a black coloured button up shirt, washed blue denim jeans, and black and white sneakers.
