CCTV Released For Preston Armed Robbery

Darebin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after an armed robbery at a bottle shop in Preston this week.

Investigators have been told an unknown male offender attended the store on Plenty Road about 8.40pm on Tuesday, 14 January.

The man approached the cash register and presented a firearm in front of an employee.

He made demands for money to be put into a plastic bag he had brought with him to the store.

The worker complied and the man fled the scene with the cash and a 10 pack of Woodstock & Cola cans.

Fortunately, no one was physically injured in the incident.

Investigators have released CCTV footage as part of their investigation into the matter.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who recognises the man in the footage to come forward.

He is perceived to be Caucasian, aged between about 50 and 60-years-old, with short brown hair.

The man was depicted wearing black sunglasses, a blue and white checkered shirt, dark shorts and white runners

He also has distinctive tattoos on both his legs, one of these being a rose on his right calf.
