Police investigating a series of armed robberies on the state’s Mid North Coast have released CCTV images in an appeal for public assistance, NSW Police say.
About 4am on Sunday 8 July 2018, four males, armed with a jemmy bar and torch, broke into a service station on The Bucketts Way at Krambach.
The males assaulted a 27-year-old male employee before stealing cash and a large amount of cigarettes.
The employee suffered minor injuries and did not seek medical treatment.
Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad commenced an investigation.
Police believe the armed robbery may be linked to another incident at a licensed premises on High Street, Wauchope.
About 8.50pm on Sunday 27 May 2018, employees were closing up when three males, armed with a samurai sword, wooden club and machete, entered the hotel.
The males jumped over the counter before threatening and assaulting staff. A 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman suffered minor injuries.
The males stole cash, wallets, mobile phones, and a knife before fleeing the scene.
Investigators have released images of a group of males who may be able to assist with their inquiries into the two incidents.
The males have been described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, and of a slim build. In the footage, they are depicted wearing hooded jumpers, tracksuit pants, and running shoes.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
