CCTV Unveiled in Stanhope Gardens Shooting Probe

Police are releasing CCTV as investigations continue into a public place shooting in Sydney's west last month, under Strike Force Weaver.

About 2am Sunday 9 February 2025, police were called to a home on Canyon Drive, Stanhope Gardens, following reports of a break and enter and shooting.

Officers attached to Riverstone Police Area Command arrived and were told a group of people had broken into the home and fired shots towards the home, before fleeing the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident, under Strike Force Weaver.

As investigations are ongoing, police have released CCTV of a vehicle and a group of people who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The group was seen dressed in dark clothing and face coverings and was seen arriving at Canyon Drive, Stanhope Gardens, in a stolen grey Mazda CX5.

As depicted in the CCTV, the Mazda was seen travelling from Heffron Road, Lalor Park, about 1.32am, before it was seen on Sunnyholt Road, Quakers Parkway, Sentry Drive, Phoenix Ave and then Canyon Drive, Stanhope Gardens.

The vehicle left the scene the same way it arrived and was last seen on Heffron Road, Lalor Park, about 2.05am. The vehicle was later recovered.

As investigations continue, anyone with information, including dashcam or CCTV, around the area at the time of the incident is urged to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
