City of Ryde invites you to join in the festivities and celebrate Australia Day 2025 with an afternoon full of fun, entertainment, and community spirit.
This year's event – which takes place at Meadowbank Park on Sunday 26 January from 4.00-9.00pm – promises to be bigger and better than ever, with something for all ages to enjoy.
"Australia Day is a moment to come together as a community to reflect on our journey, celebrate our shared achievements, and embrace the diversity that makes us stronger," said City of Ryde Mayor Trenton Brown.
Australia Day in the City of Ryde will also be marked with a special Citizenship Ceremony during which we will welcome 100 new arrivals to our country and to our amazingly diverse and inclusive City.
"I look forward to welcoming new citizens, celebrating local heroes, and enjoying the vibrant energy that defines our city," said Mayor Brown. "I am eager to celebrate this important day, which recognises the importance of unity and pride in our community."
Meadowbank Park's wide-open spaces make it the perfect spot to set up a picnic and enjoy Australia Day. Bring your own spread or grab a meal from the onsite food options. There will be a classic Australian sausage sizzle as well as gourmet burger, pizza, Turkish gozleme and Japanese street food trucks offering delicious items for purchase. There will also be ice cream trucks to help stay cool in the summer heat.
