The Gold Coast will farewell 2024 with spectacular New Year's Eve celebrations including free family entertainment and dazzling fireworks displays by Skylighter along the coast.
"Gather your family and friends and join us to celebrate the new year in your favourite Gold Coast location," said Mayor Tom Tate.
"We will have fireworks displays all along the coast from Coolangatta to Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise, and the Broadwater, plus a range of free family activities and live music at certain locations throughout the night.
"The City will put on fireworks displays earlier in the night for the youngsters as well as spectacular finales at midnight for those who want to see in 2025," Mayor Tate added.
Broadwater Parklands
This is the biggest New Year's Eve family event on the coast which kicks off at 4pm and includes free activities and entertainment.
Dust off your boots and cowboy hat because this year's theme is 'Boots, Bling, and Country Things' and will include an attempt to create the Gold Coast's greatest ever Nutbush dance.
There will be an animal petting zoo, pony rides, face-painting, kids craft and sporting activities, giant bubbles, roving performers and stilt walkers.
The live stage performance will include kids shows and boot-scootin' country music from the Rivershed Band and Vixens of Fall. There will be amazing prize giveaways, special guest appearances and a variety of mouth-watering food and drink options available.
The fireworks finale will light up the sky at 8pm with synchronized music.
This event is family friendly and alcohol free.
Coomera
A free family event will be held at Coomera Sports Park from 6pm including a DJ, food trucks, kids' activities and the grand finale fireworks display at 8pm.
Surfers Paradise
A DJ will keep the crowds entertained from 5:30pm on Surfers Paradise Beach for the fireworks displays at 8pm and midnight.
Broadbeach
Set up at Kurrawa Park to watch the spectacular fireworks display on the beach at 8pm and midnight.
Coolangatta
Set up at Queen Elizabeth Park for the fireworks displays at 9pm and midnight.
