Minister for Health, Guy Barnett, has recognised the hard work and dedication of Hospitals North team members who have attained 25 years of service to the people of Northern Tasmania.
Minister Barnett said he was delighted to meet and acknowledge the work of a number of the staff at a ceremony at the Launceston General Hospital on Thursday.
"I want to thank these incredible health staff for their remarkable contribution and commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of people in Northern Tasmania," Minister Barnett said.
"Forty-two staff from Hospitals North reached the employment milestone of 25 years continuous service in 2023. That represents more than 1000 years' service to health Northern Tasmania.
Our quarter-centenarians come from the Launceston General, Deloraine, Scottsdale, Campbell Town, and George Town Hospitals.
Healthcare workers recognised this year represent the full spectrum employment from doctors, nurses, aides, hotel services, technicians, trades, allied health, and other support services like pathology.
