Launceston's City Park has once again been transformed into a hive of activity as preparations for the north's biggest celebration of food and beverages begin.

Minister for Sports and Events, Nick Duigan said many mark Festivale weekend in their calendars as a "must do" and this year has been no different.

"Festivale sold out quicker than it ever has before, which is testament to this fantastic event and it's wonderful volunteers who bring it to life," Minister Duigan said.

"Festivale has grown to become the iconic summer event we've all come to know and love."

The Tasmanian Government is long-time supporter of Festivale.

"We are thrilled to have committed almost $1.3m to support Festivale's delivery over the next three years as part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future," Minister Duigan said.

"We know how important events like Festivale are for regional visitation, and local stallholders who rely on major events to promote and sell their products.

"Festivale generates significant economic and cultural benefits, with every dollar contributed by the Tasmanian Government seeing a 5:1 return on investment - which is a fantastic result.

"Around 29,000 are expected through the gates this year, exceeding previous figures, with 40 per cent of these attendees visiting from around the state, interstate or even from around the world."

This year more than 70 different stallholders will be serving up a diverse spread and showcase of our finest Tasmanian produce and dishes from around the world.

Headline acts Birds of Tokyo, Killing Heidi, Amy Shark and Pete Murray will take to the stage, along with a plethora of local talent.

"I can't wait to see what Festivale brings us in 2025. See you in the park," Minister Duigan said.
