- Eleven winners announced at WA Mental Health Awards
- Winners demonstrate WA's remarkable commitment to mental health and wellbeing
Eleven winners were awarded for their outstanding contributions to the WA mental health sector at the 2024 WA Mental Health Awards last night.
This year more than 100 nominations were received over the nine categories.
Community organisations, service providers and individuals made up a list of exceptional award winners, which were chosen from 30 finalists.
These annual awards recognise the achievements of those who demonstrate excellence, innovation and initiative in supporting consumers of mental health services, their families and carers.
The event was hosted by the Western Australian Association for Mental Health (WAAMH), in partnership with the Mental Health Commission and Lotterywest.
It kicks off a busy week for the State's mental health sector, with the two-day WA Mental Health Conference starting today.
As stated by Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson:
"Good mental health and wellbeing helps us live longer, learn better and have stronger relationships with each other.
"I would like to thank the Minister's Award winner Brenda King, and all other award winners and finalists, for their remarkable contribution to the mental health and wellbeing of people in this State."
