Suzie Kilinski, a financial management analyst for CSCS' Resource Management Department, N8, says she is very appreciative of this recognition.
"Our civilian workforce is comprised of incredibly talented and professional people, and I am humbled and honored to be selected for this award," she said.
Kilinski was selected as Civilian of the Quarter (COQ) for the first quarter of 2020 and has been part of the Dahlgren community for over 19 years.
"One of my favorite aspects of my job is rewarding our exceptional civilian workforce for their achievements," said Brian Deters, CSCS executive director. "Suzie's expertise, agility, and professionalism are respected throughout Dahlgren and the CSCS domain. She is truly an indispensable member of this community."
Kilinski is responsible for the oversight and execution of financials for the major contracts in the CSCS domain.
"Suzie is someone you can count on to find solutions," said Susan Boarman, N8's resource management director. "She understands the needs of our learning sites and how the N8 department supports the CSCS growing mission. Her focus is always on finding the best option for success and working to make great things happen. She is very deserving of this special recognition."
Capt. Dave Stoner, CSCS commanding officer, says Kilinski tackled numerous challenges this year with optimism and determination.
"Suzie demonstrated incredible leadership skills in coordinating the very successful execution of five million dollars in expiring funds," he said. "Due to her tireless efforts, the contract was successfully awarded with one day to spare and our Sailors are better prepared to fight and win tonight!"
Suzie sees her selection as a reflection of her coworkers' diligence and dedication to the mission.
"I work with such an amazing group of professionals," she said. "Each day, we come together as a team and help shape future warfighters."
CSCS is a global organization that consists of 14 learning sites / detachments located throughout the continental United States, Hawaii, Japan, and Spain. Approximately, 1500 instructors train 36,000 Sailors a year. CSCS is the only training command that trains every individual surface navy warfighter in the maintenance, operations, and tactical employment of surface combat systems. CSCS' mission is to train the fleet so that our Navy can fight and win!
