Central Park path getting makeover

The City of Stonnington is upgrading sections of the Central Park path network to improve the amenity, aesthetic and safety of the park.

Until late-February, a series of improvement works will be completed to the path, including:

  • Scraping and reshaping the path to alleviate water pooling and drainage
  • Replace sunken or missing sections of bluestone path edge
  • Install new Tynong Toppings in the south section of park (parallel to Central Park Road).
  • Compact the gravel toppings.

To keep everyone safe, temporary fencing will be installed around the areas where works are taking place.

When complete, the upgraded paths will make it easier, safer and more enjoyable to walk through Central Park.

We recognise this type of work will cause some temporary inconvenience and we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
