Access everything Central West Libraries has to offer with the touch of a button through its new app.
The Central West Libraries app will be launched at 10am on Thursday 20 May at Orange City Library.

Orange Mayor Reg Kidd said the app made managing your library membership simple and streamlined services such as renewing loans, as well as keeping you up-to-date with library events.
"There's no need to carry your library card, you can access all your membership details on your phone or tablet," Cr Kidd said.
"You can search the catalogue and reserve books or renew your loan. You can even store all your family members' details so you can see what each of you has out on loan at the same time.
"Or, if you happen to be out in a bookshop and you see a book you like, you can scan the barcode to see if the library has it in stock and reserve it."
A group of library staff and members have been trialling the Central West Libraries app for the last few months. The app is available to download from the App Store or the Google Play Store.
Orange City Council Services Policy Committee chair Scott Munro says library staff will be at the launch demonstrating how to use the Central West Libraries app, and how to access other digital resources such as Borrow Box, indyreads and Libby.
"Your library membership is a gateway to so many other resources. What you see when you walk into a Central West Libraries branch is just the tip of the iceberg," Cr Munro said.
"Central West Libraries subscribes to these other services and library members can access them free with their library membership. They are so easy to use. Once you log in you can be reading or listening within seconds.
- BorrowBox – Offers a wide range of ebooks and eaudio for adults and kids, in an intuitive, user-friendly app. Brought to us by Bolinda Digital.
- Indyreads – Offers more than 9000 titles of mainly independently published Australian fiction and non-fiction. Explore books in other languages. Available via our partner, the State Library of NSW.
- Libby – Borrow from Overdrive's large selection of emagazines, ebooks and eaudio. Multiple simultaneous downloads mean you don't have to wait – great for book clubs. Ebooks are available in a variety of formats including OpenDyslexic typeface, variable text size and lighting, making them accessible for a wide range of users.
People wishing to attend the launch should bring a smartphone or tablet if they have one, however, they may also just come along and listen without committing to any of the apps. Morning tea will be provided.
