Cessnock Forum Links Businesses to Hiring Solutions

Local businesses and organisations are invited to Cessnock Job's Forum at Cessnock Leagues Club on Tuesday 8 April, from 10am to 12:30pm to connect with job providers and find out about available support.

Attendees will hear from representatives from Cessnock City Council, the Hunter Local Jobs Program, Training Services NSW and Youth Express. Local business Booma Foods will also offer insights into workforce challenges and hiring solutions.

Cessnock City Mayor Daniel Watton encouraged local businesses to take advantage of this valuable opportunity.

"Cessnock Job's Forum is a fantastic initiative to help businesses access essential resources, learn about available training and funding, and hear firsthand about the local job market," said Clr Watton.

"The forum will provide practical solutions to address workforce shortages, highlight local opportunities, and foster collaboration between businesses and job providers to strengthen our community."

  • Hunter Local Jobs Program – Local job seeker caseloads and Cessnock's unemployed
  • Training Services NSW – State Government training services, funding, and support
  • Youth Express – Cessnock's youth employment landscape
  • Cory Robertson, Booma Foods – Local employer perspective

The forum is presented by Advance Greater Cessnock, Workforce Australia, and Cessnock City Council and will also include a Q&A session and networking opportunities
