On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my warmest wishes to the people of the Republic of Chad on the 64th anniversary of your independence.
On this occasion, we celebrate decades of partnership, collaboration, and mutual respect between the United States and Chad. The United States has supported Chad through a historic transition, and we remain committed to working with the people and government of Chad to support political pluralism, respect for human rights, and rule of law.
We also remain focused on opportunities to work together to support humanitarian assistance, combat terrorism, promote regional security, expand trade and investment, and confront global health and environmental challenges.
