On Monday 17 October, the Goulburn River Bridge on Bylong Valley Way, Sandy Hollow was closed to all traffic, due to damage.
Heavy vehicle detour
A detour for heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonnes is in place via Yarrawa Road. The detour is expected to add about 20 minutes to travel times. Muswellbrook Council has lifted the load limit of vehicles temporarily to allow for local access along this route.
The detour is expected to remain in place until repairs to Goulburn River Bridge are complete.
Heavy vehicles are advised to use western routes including Ulan Road or Castlereagh Highway, to access the Golden Highway.
