Changes To Burnet's Board

Kate Galvin has been appointed to Burnet Institute's board of directors effective 11 April 2024.

"We are delighted to welcome Kate to the board," said Burnet Institute Chair Mary Padbury.

"Kate is an experienced financial services executive who brings a strong background in financial, project, risk, talent and stakeholder management, as well as health sector and strategy experience."

Currently Ms Galvin is CEO of Victorian Funds Management Corporation. Previously, she held senior executive roles with National Australia Bank, JBWere and Goldman Sachs JBWere.

Alison Larsson has decided to retire effective 3 May after serving as a director for more than seven years. Ms Larsson has been Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee and a member of the People & Remuneration and Investment committees.

"Alison has made an outstanding contribution as a director," said Ms Padbury.

"She has played a seminal role in enhancing all aspects of our governance of risk management at Burnet and been a strong advocate for financial discipline and gender equality.

"We are very grateful for her many contributions to our board."
