Closed to vehicular traffic
Chapel Street remains closed to vehicular traffic and trams between Commercial Road and Barry Street in both directions.
This road traffic closure is under the control of State emergency services, with the road scheduled to re-open on 9 December, assuming it's safe to do so.

Open to pedestrians & cyclists
Pedestrians and cyclists are still able to use Chapel Street, as footpaths remain open.
