Bairnsdale Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an incident in Newmerella yesterday (26 August), Victoria Police say.
Detectives arrested the 49-year-old Newmerella man after reports that a shot had been fired about 5pm on Mitchells Road.
He has been charged with reckless conduct endangering persons and serious injury, threats to kill and inflict serious injury and firearms related offences.
The man has been bailed to Bairnsdale Magistrate’s Court on 26 September.
