Charges in Cabramatta Stabbing: Stalk, Choke Alleged

A man is due in court this morning on six charges relating to the alleged domestic violence-related stalking and stabbing of a woman at Cabramatta overnight.

Emergency services were called to Mallee Street, Cabramatta, about 11pm yesterday (Friday 17 January 2025), following reports of a domestic violence incident.

On arrival, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command found a 34-year-old woman with a stab wound to her back.

She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man and took him to Fairfield Police Station where he has been charged with six offences,

• Reckless wounding (DV)

• Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (DV) (two counts)

• Intentionally choke etc person without consent (DV)

• Common assault, and

• Destroy or damage property.

He's been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail court today (Saturday 18 January 2025).
