Charges Laid in Darwin Child Exploitation Case

Northern Territory Police have charged a 72-year-old man with child exploitation offences in Darwin.

On Friday 10 January 2025, the man was arrested by Sex Crimes Detectives for alleged historic offences committed in Berry Springs between 2010 and 2015.

The alleged offender and victim were known to each other.

He has since been charged with:

  • 1 x Gross indecency against child under 10 years
  • 4 x Commit an act gross indecency child under 16 years
  • 2 x Sexual intercourse with child under 16 years

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
