Police have arrested a man and a woman and fined another man after they allegedly drove through the checkpoint at Wolseley this morning.
Just after 4.30am, Friday 15 October, to vehicles failed to stop at the Dukes Highway border checkpoint.
A 29-year-old man from Victoria, with approval to relocate to South Australia, was issued with an on the spot fine for failing to comply with a direction under the Emergency Management Act.
The other vehicle was a truck driven by a 44-year-old man from Dandenong Victoria with his passenger, a 49-year-old woman from Werribee Victoria.
Both were arrested at the scene and are being conveyed to the City Watch House where they will be charged with failing to comply with a direction under the Emergency Management Act.
They are expected to appear in the Mount Gambier Magistates Court later today via video link.
