Multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a grass fire burning in the vicinity of Kittyhawk Drive, Murphy Road and Navarre Street, Chermside. This fire is under control and there is no threat to property at this time. Smoke will affect the surrounding areas, including Chermside Shopping Centre. Residents should close windows and doors, and keep respiratory medication close by if required. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
