Chief Executive Officer Tenders Resignation

Baw Baw Shire Council Chief Executive Officer Mark Dupe, who commenced his role in March 2020, has announced his decision to resign at the end of the year.

Mr Dupe said it had been an honour to lead the organisation, and thanked the staff and the wider community for their continued support.

Baw Baw Shire Mayor Councillor Danny Goss commended Mr Dupe on his time leading the Council.

"Mark has been an inspirational and effective leader of all the team at Baw Baw Shire. He has advocated strongly for this community with significant success. He has helped Council lay the groundwork for many exciting long term and significantly important projects and strategies. He can be proud of his work here with us," Cr Goss said.

"On behalf of Councillors and the entire organisation I wish him and his family all the best for the future.

"Councillors will discuss the recruitment process for a new CEO is due course."

Mr Dupe will remain in his position until the end of the year, ensuring a smooth transition for the organisation and our incoming Councillor group.

Mr Dupe's last day leading the organisation will be Christmas Eve.

An interim Chief Executive Officer will be appointed and communicated publicly in the near future.

Mr Dupe is not seeking further full time CEO roles as he commences a new phase of his working life in a new location.
