A man will appear in court today charged with allegedly possessing child abuse material in the Southern Highlands.
In July 2019, detectives attached to The Hume Police District received information regarding a person allegedly accessing child abuse material and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, a search warrant was executed at a house on Viewland Street, Bundanoon, about 12.30pm yesterday (Monday 17 February 2020).
Detectives located and seized multiple electronic devices and child abuse images, which will undergo forensic examination.
A 49-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Southern Highlands Police Station where he was charged with possess child abuse material.
The man was refused bail to appear before Moss Vale Local Court today (Tuesday 18 February 2020).
