Child approach - Blue Mountains, NSW

Police investigating a reported child approach in the Blue Mountains yesterday are appealing for public assistance as they release CCTV images of a truck involved in the incident, NSW Police say.

About 4.40pm yesterday, a 10-year-old boy was walking up a driveway in Adeline Street, Faulconbridge, when a truck stopped outside the property.

Police were told two men left the vehicle and spoke to the boy before he ran away from them. The men returned to the truck which was driven from the scene a short time later.

Police were contacted and are now investigating.

They would like to speak to two men who are described as having olive complexions and brown eyes and travelling in a white N series Isuzu truck with a tray and large white sideboards.

The driver had short dark hair, a small moustache and was wearing a yellow high-visibility top, while the passenger was wearing a grey hooded jacket.

CCTV images of the truck have been released by police.

Investigators would like to hear from anyone who knows the identity of the men or has information about the incident.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
