Child Dies After Being Hit By Car - St Marys

A young boy has died after being hit by a car in Sydney's west this afternoon.

About 12.05pm today (Monday 30 December 2024), emergency services were called to Glossop Street, North St Marys, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command arrived to find a four-year-old boy had been hit by a Ford Sedan.

The boy was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died a short time later on route to hospital.

The male driver was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established and police have commenced an investigation into the incident.
