Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of a child in Nagambie this afternoon.
Emergency services responded to reports a 5-year-old girl was missing in Lake Nagambie at Beckley Park about 2.20pm where she had been with family.
A family member located the girl in the water a short time later and took her to the bank where emergency services performed CPR.
The child, from Wendouree, sadly died at the scene.
