A boy has died in a single vehicle crash near Tamworth, NSW Police say.
About 4.20pm (Sunday 16 December 2018), a Great Wall utility was travelling south on the New England Highway, Moonbi, when it left the road and struck trees and a boulder.
Despite efforts by emergency services, a three-year-old boy in the back seat died at the scene.
The driver, a 24-year-old man, was airlifted to Tamworth Hospital. His injuries are not known, but they are not believed to be life threatening.
Police from Oxley Police District and Crash Investigation Unit officers remain on scene investigating the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
