A child has died after being pulled from a backyard swimming pool in Sydney's southwest.
Just after 6.30pm (Tuesday 17 December 2024) emergency services were called to a house in Moorebank, following reports a three-year-old boy had been found unresponsive in a backyard pool.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and attempted to resuscitate the child.
Police attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The child was taken to Prince of Wales Children Hospital, where he died.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
