Child Hit By Car - Kingswood

A child has been hit by a car in Sydney's west this afternoon.

About 4.50pm (Monday 31 March 2025), emergency services were called to Kingswood Railway Station, Great Western Highway, Kingswood, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command arrived and were told a 5-year-old girl was hit by a Nissan utility when crossing a road.

The 5-year-old girl was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead in a serious condition.

The driver of the utility – a 33-year-old man – was uninjured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Police have commenced an investigation into the incident.
