Child Hit By Car: Police Seek Central Coast Info

Police are appealing for information after a child was hit by a car on the Central Coast.

About 2.55pm yesterday (Friday 7th February 2025), emergency services were called to Railway Crescent, Lisarow, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

Officers attached to Brisbane Waters Police District and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attended and found a 12-year-old girl had been hit by a car while crossing the road before the vehicle left the scene.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the child for serious leg and arm injuries before she was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.

Police established a crime scene and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an investigation into the incident.

As investigation continue, police would like to speak to the driver of a silver Volkswagen Golf believed to be in the area at the time of the incident.
