Moora police have arrested a 34-year-old man in relation to an incident that occurred on Friday 31 March 2023, during which a 7-year-old boy was abducted from his home.
Police will allege about 4am this morning, 31 March 2023, the accused entered an address on Padbury Street and abducted a 7-year-old boy from the home.
It will be further alleged, shortly after the accused re-entered the home and attempted to abduct a 12-year-old boy, dragging him out of the house.
The 12-year-old managed to break free and ran back into the home to alert an adult who then notified police.
Police conducted a search of the area and a short time later, about 7.10am, located the 7-year-old boy at a nearby home.
Both children were conveyed to hospital for a routine medical check.
A 34-year-old Moora man was arrested and is assisting police with inquiries. The man is not believed to be known to the two boys.
