Bayside Council celebrates Children's Book Week (CBW) every year with an art competition and activities for young school children.
The theme for Children's Book Week 2024 is Reading is Magic and Council's art competition and activity program is open to all Bayside Primary Schools.
During CBW Bayside Primary Schools visit our libraries for readings from the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year shortlist and other activities that showcase the stories, authors and illustrators.
This is also a perfect time to plan your visit to one of our libraries, see some of the local entries in our CBW art competition, enjoy the great children's reading spaces, and help your children discover the magic of reading.
Book Week runs from 17 - 23 August and entries in the art competition will be on display in all our libraries by Monday 12 August.
