Christmas celebrations will be back in full swing for Devonport, as festivities return to normal this year.
Devonport City Council Events Coordinator Maree Brodzinski said it was exciting to see the much-loved Christmas events all back on the annual calendar.
Ms Brodzinski said the first event will be held on Thursday, 24 November for the Christmas parade from 6.30pm, followed by the Christmas in the East on Saturday 3 December from 4pm, and Carols by Candlelight on Sunday, 4 December from 7pm.
"We are all very excited to see our Christmas events back on this year's events calendar and we look forward to making spirits bright," Ms Brodzinski said.
"Santa and Mrs Claus are already in full swing preparing to spread the Christmas spirit with their appearances in all the events.
"We've had a few disruptive years but we're all in for Christmas fun this year."
For this year's Christmas parade, Ms Brodzinski encouraged families to check out the route map for ideal viewing points.
"There are some excellent viewing points along Victoria Parade where families can enjoy a barbecue or the food and coffee vans that will be available," she said.
"Council will have assistance from the fabulous SES Mersey Unit, and we've heard that Santa and Mrs Claus are excited about coming back to our city."
Ms Brodzinski said the annual Christmas lights and decorations competition will also be held with Devonport residents and businesses encouraged to take part in the day and night competitions.
"Not everyone has Christmas lights, so the day competition enables those who just want to use decorations outside their homes to take part," she said.
"We will also have the popular giant Christmas tree in the Rooke Street Mall, that will feature artwork from local schools showcased at the bottom of the tree."
