A settled Christmas Day for most of Australia, with the chance of showers and storms for some areas
With Christmas Day a week away, the Bureau of Meteorology has issued its 7-day forecast today. Australians can start preparing for the festive season with the likely weather in mind.

Onshore winds will bring isolated showers to the east coast of Queensland, but less likely in the south-east of the state. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast for the north, likely scattered around the far northern Peninsula.
Mild conditions are likely for the west and south coast of Western Australia, with showers developing about the south-west during the afternoon and evening. South Australia can expect dry and hot conditions.
