Horsham Rural City Council is well and truly getting into the Christmas spirit with the installation of Christmas decorations about to get underway.
"Each year, our outdoor staff coordinate an impressive display of festive decorations in Horsham and Natimuk and I look forward to seeing what we have on offer this festive season," Mayor Robyn Gulline said.
From next week, giant Christmas trees will be installed at roundabouts in central Horsham and Natimuk. Festive banners and baubles will also adorn street light poles at various locations.
"I hope these decorations bring great joy and fill the community with Christmas cheer," she said.
"These wonderful decorations are a welcome sight, they signal that the end of the year is almost here and that Christmas is around the corner."
Cr Gulline also reminded residents to shop locally and help support the region's business community ahead of the busy Christmas season.
"Our diverse range of local shops can cater for all of your present-buying needs. Let's help make everyone's Christmas great this year by choosing local, and ensuring our business community can continue to thrive," she said.
