Cindy Bunt To Launch Second Cookbook

Mount Gambier Library will host local author Cindy Bunt for the launch of her second cookbook Fall in Love with Baking on Thursday 21 November at 7:00pm at City Hall.

Cindy Bunt is the owner of 'The Post and Rail' - a cooking, gardening and art school and nursery, located in Compton. Cindy enjoys sharing her passion and expertise which led her to write her second cookbook Fall in Love with Baking.

"It's wonderful to be able support Cindy to launch her second book, especially following the successful launch of her first book, Fall in Love with Preserving. She is very passionate about what she does and the community just love celebrating with her," Manager Library and Community Development, Georgina Davison said.

"I can't begin to tell you how amazing it feels to help people discover the joy of cooking from scratch. Food that you've just plucked off a tree or dug up and turned into something delicious and simple," Cindy said.

Cindy has undertaken many projects throughout her 20-year career in the food industry, starting in catering and later opening a farm shop, nursery and café. She has always baked from scratch, never using pre-packaged jars or boxes. People flocked to enjoy her food and living in a rural town meant that when she ran out of ingredients, Cindy had to be resourceful. This is where she learnt many of the tips and techniques she shares in her latest book.

"Whether you're a beginner, eager to dive into the world of baking or a seasoned baker looking to expand your repertoire, say hello to a new era of stress-free, straight-to-your-thighs kind of baking to share with your loved ones like I do. There is something for everyone in this cookbook," Cindy said.

Fall in Love with Baking features more than 100 of Cindy's go-to recipes, as well as her tried and true baking tips and techniques.

The book launch is free to attend with supper supplied and books available for sale and signing at the event. Bookings are required. Contact Mount Gambier Library on 8721 2540 or book online at www.mountgambier.sa.gov.au/library under 'Programs and Events'.
