The 2024-25 City Budget features record funding for infrastructure allocated to projects across the Gold Coast.
"This budget that is all about future proofing our city, including investing in transport and roads,'' said Mayor Tom Tate.
"We are continuing to make record investments in infrastructure for our growing city,'' he said.
"Transport and traffic rank as one of the highest priorities for Gold Coasters, so our focus is on expanding and improving our investment in vital infrastructure to keep the city moving.
"In 204-25, we will invest $255 million in the road network as well as $138 million on transport improvements and a further $65 million on our road rehabilitation and reseal program.
"Just like the family budget, Council's costs have also risen substantially, but we must continue to invest in upgrading and maintaining our transport network."
Mayor Tate said the city has more than 3260 kilometres of sealed roads and 1945 kilometres of pathways as well as 292 road and pedestrian bridges.
"This budget delivers on helping to keep our growing city moving."

- Bridge replacement over Lake Heron at Cassowary Drive, Burleigh Waters - $8.5 million.
- Upgrade to the intersection of Wardoo and Cotlew Streets, Ashmore - $8.1 million.
- Upgrade to the intersection of Eastern Service Road and Burnside Road, Ormeau - $6.1 million.
- Upgrade to the intersection of Lahrs Road and Goldmine Road, Ormeau - $6.1 million.
- Road renewal on designated quarry haul routes - $5.8 million.
- Road upgrade at Quinns Hill Road, Stapylton - $5.0 million.
