City Of Canada Bay Community Grant Recipients Announced

The City of Canada Bay is awarding more than $190,000 to over 40 groups as part of this year's Community Grants Program, supporting a wide range of projects that foster community connection, wellbeing, and inclusion.

Mayor Michael Megna said Council was proud to support local organisations delivering meaningful programs across the community.

"Each year, we receive applications from community groups, not-for-profit organisations and schools dedicated to making a positive difference locally through a range of fantastic programs and events," said City of Canada Bay Michael Megna.

Mayor Megna said the Community Grants Program recognises and supports the vital work being led at a grassroots level, and Council looks forward to formally celebrating the 2026 grant recipients at the inaugural City of Canada Bay Community Awards in June.

"These grants are about investing in the people and organisations who know our community best and are creating real, on-the-ground impact," he said.

Funding is being distributed across three categories: Community Project Grants, Environmental Grants and Event Grants. "From supporting older residents to stay active and connected, to empowering young people to lead environmental initiatives, celebrating cultural diversity and improving inclusion for people with disability, this year's grant-funded projects reflect the diverse needs of our community," added Mayor Megna.
