City of Darwin is hosting an exciting two-day program, Darwin Fusion 2025, that will celebrate Darwin's unique economic opportunities and welcome local, interstate and international guests and visitors to the city.
An Expression of Interest is currently available for vendors wishing to be involved in Darwin Fusion, which will showcase the benefits of living, working, studying, visiting and investing in Darwin.
Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis said the Darwin Fusion event provided a great opportunity to develop domestic and international relationships and to enhance cultural communication and economic exchange.
"Darwin Fusion 2025 will feature four events across two days to attract people, visitors, business, trade, and private investment to Darwin," Mr Vatskalis said.
"We are currently seeking expressions of interest from interested businesses to take part in the International Trade Show, on Friday 23 May 2025, which provides an opportunity to join with local and international customers as well as network with other businesses.
"This event will be open to the public and will connect local and interstate organisations with international networks to further trade opportunities.
"The International Trade Show is ideal for businesses and organisations wishing to promote their products and services to the local community and international markets.
"From study opportunities to travel experiences, the International Trade Show will provide a chance for attendees to meet and support local vendors and explore international ones.
"We are also seeking expressions of interest from local food vendors to take part in Darwin's first-ever Garramilla Food Festival, on Friday 23 May 2025, which will celebrate Darwin's culture and community.
"The Garramilla Food Fair will feature everything from traditional Larrakia dishes to international street food and there are twenty tents available for vendors to showcase their cuisine.
"The fair will be hosted in partnership with Larrakia Nation Aboriginal Corporation and will incorporate food stalls and performances to spotlight Darwin's rich culture and First Nations heritage," he said.
The Darwin Fusion 2025 program includes the 2025 International Relations Conference, the 2025 Darwin International Trade Show and the Garramilla Food Fair.
The events aim to celebrate cultural exchange and economic development opportunities for Darwin and its Sister Cities and Friendship Cities.
Each event in the program will celebrate Darwin's unique community and culture, as well as showcase opportunities to the local, Territory, national and international audiences.
