To celebrate PrideFEST, City of Perth staff will participate in the 2021 Pride Parade this Saturday.
In its 30th year, the Pride Parade will be held at Gloucester Park, with gates opening at 4.30pm.
The free Pride Parade event will also be live streamed on the big screen at the Northbridge Piazza.
For 23 years, the City of Perth has supported Pride WA and the work it does to champion the rights and freedoms of the LGBTQIA+ community.
"The City has a long history in supporting Pride WA as it brings more colour, vitality and life to the streets of Perth," City of Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas said.
"PrideFEST is an opportunity to reflect and recognise the experiences of LGBTQIA+ people while taking part in celebratory events."
A Pride flag is now flying outside Council House permanently.
In October, the City of Perth adopted the LGBTQIA+ Plan, dedicated to improving the experience and wellbeing of the LGBTQIA+ community in the city.
The three-year plan will focus on the City of Perth's role as a service provider, partner and facilitator in increasing the visibility, social inclusion and health and wellbeing of the LGBTQIA+ community.
On 30 November, the City of Perth will officially launch the LGBTQIA+ Plan and thank those who were instrumental in putting it together.
